We here at Green Light Ltd a company based in the republic of Ireland have used Barclay
Phelps on many occasions. Recently when applying for a government grant scheme for
our led lighting products we found that the codes on some units of ours where too
similar to another manufacturers. This would have made our products non applicable.
We contacted Barclay Phelps and within a very short frame of time they applied new
codes for our lighting products. This action in itself allowed our company to secure
many new contracts.

As far as the service…It was excellent, and very easy
in my opinion to get CE certified with you guys. I have been dealing with third
party approval agencies for over 20 years and this was the least painful experience
thus far. Only a few days after submitting the initial information we received the
CE approval.

IMPORTANT
If you are EU based please note that the CE Marking regulations legally
apply not only to exports into the other EU countries but also to sales within your
own EU country.
The CE Mark (officially CE Marking) is a mandatory conformity mark on many products placed on the single market in the European Economic Area (EEA). The term initially used was "EC Mark" and it was officially replaced by "CE Marking" in the Directive 93/68/EEC in 1993.
By affixing the CE marking, the manufacturer, its authorized representative, or person placing the product on the market or putting it into service asserts that the item meets all the essential requirements of all applicable EU directives and that the applicable conformity assessment procedures have been applied.
The CE marking is a mandatory European marking for certain product groups to indicate
conformity with the essential health and safety requirements set out in European
Directives. To permit the use of a CE mark on a product, proof that the item meets
the relevant requirements must be documented. For some products this can only be
achieved by using an external test house which evaluates the product and its documentation,
however, in about 90% of cases it can be achieved by a self certification process.
IMPORTERS
If you buy a product to resell you may well be asked by a potential buyer to supply CE Marking certification. This can be difficult because although the product is CE certified to you by the supplier or manufacturer you naturally do not want to divulge your supply source to a potential client. Therefore, if you certify the products/s in your own name you will be able to satisfy a buyer immediately without divulging your supply sources.
To keep costs down any number of closely related products can be included on one CE certification. We make a small extra charge for this depending on the closeness of the relationship between those products.
